Outstanding Performance Scholarship (OPS) 2020-21 & 2021-22

CHONG Wing Tung Nicole, Full Degree 2019

BA (Hons) Business Administration and Management, De Montfort University

I am truly honored to be selected as the awardee of the Outstanding Performance Scholarship for two consecutive years. My university life has been rewarding and remarkable. Not only could I acquire more academic knowledge, but I also had a myriad of opportunities to explore myself and unleash my potential. Participating in case competitions, leadership and career development programs, organizing activities for schoolmates as well as volunteering are some invaluable experiences that nurture me to become an all-rounded individual. Indeed, the scholarships motivate me to devote myself to further studies and keep improving myself. Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the school, my lecturers, family and friends who have supported me throughout the journey.

Best Progress Award (BPA) 2021-22

WONG Wong Fung, Full Degree 2019

BA (Hons) Business Administration and Management, De Montfort University

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my parents and school for providing me with the support I needed. Throughout this 3-years full degree program of city scope, there are certain difficulties I have to go through with such different study issues, but I can manage with such and improve myself over time. I felt accomplished, happy and excited about getting this award, but most importantly this award taught me to find a new purpose during my study. This award has taught me hard work pays off and I will uphold this belief and continue to move forward to another stage of life. Thank you.

Reaching Out Award (ROA) 2021-22

YIP Karen, Full Degree 2019

BA (Hons) English for International Corporate Communication, University of Central Lancashire

Graduating from the EICC programme gave me the insight of furthering my study in the UK. It is one reason I could complete this meaningful cultural trip during the pandemic. It is a blessed journey with all the supports from Scope whenever I need advice, I would not have achieved it without the encouragement.
It is no easy task reaching outside Hong Kong when travel restrictions applied in various countries. Therefore, I have revised my proposal to correspond with the unstable situation. When I confirmed my study in the UK, I decided to take it to the next level, to experience a foreign culture being more than an international student. The Reaching Out Award provides me an opportunity to proactively search for in-depth perspectives when wandering on the streets or visiting museums. I focused more on the stories and histories behind architectures and exhibits in order to gain a distinctive perception form a local’s view. This experience has also widened my sight when I am doing my master’s degree focusing on culture. At last, I am very grateful and honoured being awarded the valuable opportunity in such a difficult time, as well as supporting Scope has provided along.
