Everything from helping protect the feet of people with diabetes and helping the UK meet its renewable energy targets, to developing video monitoring applications to help keep society safe. A huge number of our academics are research-active – and no less than 78% of our research is classed as ‘world-leading’ or of ‘international importance’ (REF 2014).

Over the last few years, we have spent over £100m on new technologies to make sure you have the best chance of achieving your goals, including our state-of-the-art Esports Lab, industry-standard Broadcast Journalism Suite, and much more the Digital Kiln - a unique space where our students learn together in an active and collaborative way.
