The Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Wolverhampton is offering this two-year part-time programme leading to Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Construction Management in Hong Kong in collaboration with the School of Continuing and Professional Education, City University of Hong Kong.

The programme has been offered in HK since 2000. All lectures will be taught by University of Wolverhampton teaching staff from the UK, and tutorials will be supported by a local academic team. It provides a cross-cultural learning environment that is unique in this programme.

Messages from Hong Kong Programme Leader

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Construction Management course continues to be an established and well-recognised programme within the education sector of the Hong Kong Construction Industry. It benefits from being delivered by University of Wolverhampton staff in English with contextualised support from local tutors. This programme has already helped over 700 graduates further their careers by developing their knowledge of construction management. In addition it provides an opportunity to continue studies at a postgraduate level.

With the support of Hong Kong Government, there are ten major infrastructure developments and the large-scale public housing development in coming ten years. There is a high demand for professionals specialising in construction project management. The aim of this specialist programme is to prepare graduates for their initial and continued employment in the discipline of Construction Management within the Built Environment. As a professional training of construction managers it emphasised for the purpose of the planning and control techniques required to achieve a balance on time, cost and quality, but also the concept of sustainability, environmental protection, safety, updated legal matters, new construction technology, and quality. The course successfully gets the RICS, CIOB, Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) and Quantity Surveyors International (QSi) accreditations. I am sure this can enhance the professional developments of our students.
